Accounting Specialist (First Shift)

Primary Duties: Assist with accounting activities including invoicing, costing, payables and following up on receiving and ordered items. This position will be helping to set up and transition to a new QuickBooks accounting system and will work with our 3rd party CPA and in-house CPA to coordinate financials. Will need to be able to pull and help analyze financials, assess trends in customer orders/sales, assist with basic forecasting. Some Microsoft Excel experience needed.

Secondary Duties: Assisting with regular weekly and monthly physical inventories of bags, product, and other ingredients. Taking calls from customers and taking orders, interacting with truck drivers and pickups/deliveries, calling customers, freight companies, farmers, or others as needed to help coordinate day to day business.

Successful Candidates: Must be extremely detail conscious and willing to learn new things. Opportunity for growth and increased responsibilities within and beyond accounting. This position could certainly grow into a major management position.

Experience: 4 year degree required, accounting degree or experience with Quickbooks or other accounting software preferred. Strong work ethic and willingness to learn demonstrated through experience a plus. Attention to detail and good communication skills a must.

Hours and Benefits: First Shift is 7:30 AM-4:30 PM Monday through Friday. Second Shift is 2:00 PM to 11:00 PM Monday through Friday. All employees get 2, 15 minute breaks a day and a 1 hour meal break each shift. Overtime opportunities are available. Weekend hours are sometimes required depending on production schedules.
