SECU Family House at UNC Hospitals is seeking a part-time accounting intern in its Chapel Hill location.
The candidate will be assisting the finance department for approximately 5-8 hours per week. The hours are flexible. We prefer a candidate who can split the hours between two days, Monday through Friday, but we are somewhat flexible with hours. The position has to be in person, but safety precautions are in place.
Pay rate is $12/hr.
Responsibilities/Duties
Finance and Accounting
- Compiling and entering routine journal entries
- Assisting with accounts payable
- Assisting with accounts receivable
- Vendor filing (paper and electronic)
- Other duties and special projects as they arise
Skills and Experience
The candidate must be reliable and responsive, with a professional demeanor, a keen attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively under deadlines. We seek a candidate with a positive and collaborative attitude who values teamwork.
Strong Excel skills are highly desired. QuickBooks experience is preferred.
